Forest Primeval was painted during a kayak trip in South Moresby National Park in Haida Gwaii
(The Queen Charlotte Islands). The ancient moss covered temperate rain forest of the Pacific North West
contains some of the oldest and largest trees in the world. It has been the home of the Haida First Nations
People for thousands of years, we could feel their presence all around.
