| In 1996, I was invited to paint and explore the vast pristine wilderness of the Taku River. This watershed is home to abundent wildlife as well as sacred cultural sites and migratory trails still used by the Taku River Tlingit. We started the journey from Atlin Lake and flew over the icefields to the Taku. Geographically, the Taku meets the Pacific Ocean just below Juneau, Alaska. | ||
